Most companies are trying to do more with less. Due to reductions in travel, staff, and budgets, this year more than ever before, organizations are looking to supplement – or even replace -- physical customer conferences, tradeshows, internal sales meetings and training/educational programs with Virtual Events.

A recent survey of 500+ marketing professionals regarding virtual events/ trade shows reveled that:
•    63% of respondents are more likely to attend conferences online than in person;
•    72% feel as confident communicating online as they do face-to-face.

Motivators behind their interest in virtual events?
•    74% want to save money;
•    50% want to save time; and
•    82% cited the “green” benefits of a virtual program .

Join an interactive discussion and case study led by:

Josh Reynolds, Senior Field Marketing Manager, Sun Microsystems & Jennifer Kidwell, Senior Account Executive, ON24 (ON24 has completed multiple virtual tradeshows for companies like Sun & Microsoft) and learn how to:

•    Generate leads and expand your business and community networks
•    Extend the reach of your in-person conferences and events to clients and prospects who may be less likely to attend due to reductions in travel or time spent out-of-office
•    Offer sales people immediate connection to a group of leads that otherwise may not be available
•    Organize virtual events and ongoing resource centers that enable the tracking of prospect activity that can be used to qualify leads
•    Reinforce your organization’s “green” initiatives

More on our two speakers:

Prior to joining ON24, she held similar roles with other webcasting and conferencing providers, including  ConferencePlus, WebEx, Visual Data Corp. (now Onstream Media), Loudeye Corporation and PRNewswire. She holds a B.A. from Penn State University.

Josh Reynolds,
Senior Field Marketing Manager, Sun Microsystems, is focused on driving the integration of marketing automation and social media. As head of Sun's North American MidMarket initiative he has been pioneering the use of multi-channel integrated marketing automation.  Specifically, he has leveraged high volume, low touch strategies to establish the company in new market segments, and has introduced new techniques such as: virtual tradeshows, microblogging and trigger-based nurturing to more effectively meet business goals.  Josh received his MBA from Boston University and has over 20 years of industry experience working in the Boston area for large and small companies including Spinnaker Software, NECX.direct, AiM&M and Hewlett Packard.

Please join Mike Kinkead, Trustee of the Council and Chair of the Sales & Marketing Cluster, Jennifer Kidwell and Josh Reynolds for the October Roundtable.

As always, please be prepared to ask questions and contribute your experiences to the conversation. We expect that the October Roundtable will be another productive, interactive learning experience for all participants!
